Consultant, PR Smith is also a best selling marketing author and international speaker. Paul has worked in wide variety of organisations both B2B,  B2C and non profit making organisations in Europe, USA, Africa and China.

Paul wrote and produced the eLearning courses for the Chartered Institute of Marketing’s new Online Certificate in Marketing and the Professional Award in eMarketing. Paul’s eLearning programmes are now used all over the world by global organisations including IBM and the British Council.

Paul’s first book, Marketing Communications has been a best seller for five consecutive years and is recommended by the Chartered Institute of Marketing as a marketing major alongside Kotler, Peppers et al. The 4th edition was written with Jonathan Taylor (Kogan Page 2004). Paul is co-author of the ground breaking, Strategic Marketing Communications (Kogan Page 1999) and has also written Great Answers to Tough Marketing Questions (Kogan Page, 2nd ed. 2003) which is now translated into four languages. He co-authored eMarketing eXcellence (Butterworth Heinemann 2005) with Dave Chaffey and is currently working on the third edition. Paul is the originator of SOSTAC ® Planning System.

Paul trains professionals around the world including IBM (USA), BT (UK) and top communications agencies such as HHCL and BBH as SMEs on Government export programmes. He has previously worked in UK and US in both industrial and consumer markets.

Paul is a member of the  The Marketing Institute of Ireland, the Institute of Public Relations and the International Visual Communications Association and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing. He is also the Senior Examiner in eMarketing for the Chartered Institute of Marketing and a member of CIM’s Review Panel for its leading edge articles.

After family fun and commitments, Paul coaches kids rugby and plays golf.
